The Chicagoland Record Show: Where to Find Us (and Sell Us Your Records)

Countryside, IL · Every Two Months

You'll Find Us at the Chicagoland Record Show — Three Tables, Sold Out by Noon

Every show in Countryside, We Buy Records Chicago runs three tables — the most popular bins on the floor. We bring 2,000–5,000 LPs, price every record at $5, and we're usually picked clean by noon. Most of those $5 records are honest bargains: clean-playing copies of records that book at $20 and up.

There's a reason the bins are always that deep. We buy record collections across Chicagoland every single week — and the show is the front of the house. The buying is the engine behind it.

Chicagoland Record Show
The Most Popular Bins on the Floor
3 Tables
We run three full tables every show — more than almost any dealer in the room, and consistently the busiest. If you've been to the Chicagoland Record Show, you've seen the crowd around our bins.
Fresh Stock Every Single Show
2,000–5,000 LPs
Rock, soul, jazz, funk, blues, country, and more — thousands of records, almost all of it fresh from collections we've bought across Chicagoland since the last show. Dig deep; it turns over completely every time.
One Price, Real Bargains
$5 Each
Every record on our tables is five dollars — no haggling, no sticker math. Most are honest bargains: clean-playing copies of records that book at $20 and up, just in lesser cosmetic shape. Collectors know that's where the value is.
Get There Early
Gone by Noon
Our bins are usually cleaned out by midday. If you want first pick, come for the early-bird opening — the serious diggers are at our tables before most dealers have their boxes unpacked.

Where Those Records Come From — and Why It Matters If You're Selling

Nobody fills three tables with $5 bargains out of thin air. Every record we set out in Countryside came from a collection we bought somewhere across Chicagoland — an estate in Oak Park, a basement in Naperville, a lifetime of records in Berwyn. We're at the show because we're buying constantly, and the show is simply where the surplus lands.

That's the difference between us and the out-of-state operations advertising online. We're not a mail-in service in another state and we're not a reseller platform — we're local people you can actually shake hands with at the show, who buy collections here, in person, for cash. When you sell to us, you're dealing with the same hands that have been sorting Chicago records for years.

So if you have records to sell — ten boxes in the attic or a wall of LPs from a parent or grandparent — you don't have to wait for the next show or haul anything anywhere. We come to you, pay cash on the spot, and your records may well end up in those bins a few weeks later.

Have Records to Sell? Skip the Hauling.

Text us a few photos of what you've got and we'll tell you what it's worth and what we'd pay — no charge, no obligation. We're not a chain or a reseller platform. Cash on the spot, house calls 7 days a week across Chicagoland and Illinois. The same buyers you'd meet at our tables come straight to your door.

Chicagoland Record Show — FAQ

Where and when is the Chicagoland Record Show?
It's held at the Countryside Banquet & Conference Center, 6200 Joliet Rd in Countryside, IL, just southwest of Chicago. The show runs every two months on a Sunday, typically 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM with a 7:00 AM early-bird entry. Check the show's Facebook page for the next confirmed date.
How much are the records at your tables?
Every record on our three tables is $5 — one flat price, no haggling. Most are clean-playing copies of records that book at $20 or more in top condition; ours just have some cosmetic wear, which is exactly why collectors crowd the bins. We bring 2,000 to 5,000 LPs to every show and they usually sell out by noon, so come early.
Do you buy records at the show too?
Yes — bring a photo of what you have and find us at the tables, or text it ahead. For anything more than a box or two, the easier route is a house call: we come to you, sort everything, and pay cash on the spot. The records on our tables come straight from collections we've bought across Chicagoland, so we're always buying.
I have a collection to sell — do I have to bring it to the show?
No. You don't need to wait for the next show or haul anything anywhere. We make house calls 7 days a week throughout Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and Southwest Michigan. Text photos of your records to (630) 544-9733 or call (312) 500-4546 and we'll set up a time.
What kinds of records do you buy?
Rock, soul, funk, jazz, blues, R&B, punk, and more — LPs and 45s, single records or whole collections. We buy across Chicagoland in person, for cash, with no shipping and no waiting weeks for an online payment. If you're not sure what you have, send a photo and we'll tell you honestly what's common and what's worth real money.
